Brazilian Police Dog Eddy, PMDF, dies at 4 years old

The policemen were really sad look at their faces, RIP EDDY

Eddy was a Belgian Shepherd dog and, according to the PMDF, was at the peak of his professional life.

The Battalion of Policing with Dogs (BPCães/PMDF) lost a member on Thursday (18). The dog Eddy, 4 years old, died due to complications from a gastric torsion (when the stomach dilates and turns on itself).

Eddy was a Belgian Shepherd dog and, according to the PMDF, was at the height of his professional life, leading drug and other seizures for the past two years.

The police officer arrived at BPCães as a puppy, in 2018. With less than a year, he began to be trained as a 'recruit' for another member of the battalion, Charlotte.

Moved, policeman Salviano lamented the loss of the dog. “Eddy is a son to me. I learned a lot from him in training”, he says, with pride.
